HR Casework

HR casework arises when a casefile is opened relevant to an individual, or substantive work is required. This includes matters such as dealing with grievances, disciplinary and dismissal cases, appraisal and pay reviews, performance management, absence management etc.

We draft all necessary correspondence on behalf of the school, attend meetings (either to manage a situation or support a school leader) and advise panels/governors at formal hearings. We also provide an external, independent investigating officer for any case where needed.

Our approach is always tailored to the particular circumstances. We do not work off template, standard letters or prescriptive processes. We consider things in the round and we look for the best solution for the parties. Sometimes this involves discussions about a negotiated exit/settlement, or recommendations to school leaders about how to adapt management practices for the future.

We also take a proactive approach. Account managers have regular meetings with school leaders, to ensure that we are aware of any emerging concerns about staff and can nip things in the bud where appropriate.
